As reported in the Huff Post today, the Obama administration is becoming increasingly peeved at left-wing bloggers who criticize the erosion of its campaign promises and central-shifting policymaking. God forbid anyone criticize the President that isn’t an immediately ridicule-worthy Birther and/or Tea Partier.

   The whole piece boils down to “OMG ur whining.”

   By the way, I did support Obama in the primaries, so I’m apparently allowed to ignore all of the pushback and continue with my criticism.

   Oh, you’re entirely allowed to continue with your criticism, whether or not you supported Obama before. What you (and this is the generic you, not Russ specifically 😉 ) shouldn’t do is criticize Obama for not solving every social and moral outrage of the last fifty years in ten months in office, just because he’s one of the most progressive Presidents we’ve had in the past fifty years (which I fully grant isn’t saying much…and no, JFK was not a progressive, sorry) and because you’re your own special snowflake. I don’t remember this hyperactive vitriol leveled at Bush during his first ten months, though in fairness, he didn’t have to clean up the mess left behind by a predecessor named, uh, Bush.

   Also, the piece does not boil down to “OMG ur whining,” any more than Russ and Storey’s video boils down to “OMG Obama’s such a tool11!11!”; and “all of the pushback” is coming from one anonymous White House staffer who, as the article points out, might be justifiably a bit unenthusiastic about the prog-o-sphere’s constant missile lobbing at Obama for not solving INSERT CAUSE HERE right now, NOW!!!!!!!
