Elecrticiy Via Death Ray
Only 2200 years after Archimedes used a mirror-powered heat ray to ignite invading Roman barges, modern humans have found that death rays prove an ample source of energy.
While I’m certainly no physicist, ESolar’s method of solar power seems a great deal more efficient than the traditional silicate-based fuel cell model. My understanding is that traditional solar cells max out at 40-50% efficiency and most run a great deal lower than that. The mirror array, on the other hand, is cheaper, more flexible, wastes nothing, and requires very little advanced technology (other than the computer program that coordinates the array). ESolar’s mirror array is the 21st century equivalent of a wood stove powering a steam engine. This seems like a much more sustainable and scalable form of solar power. Too bad these guys are not a publicly traded company.
