Referring to friend who lost his job: “This is in the minority.”
Unfortunately in the LA and NY comedy scene, it’s not a small enough minority. It’s common knowledge that there is a mob, stoked by secret womens facebook groups, which creates monsters where there are none. It’s true mania which attempts to cast all women as victims and all men as predators.
Offline, women disagree with these groups. Online, women cannot disagree with these groups without being castigated as “retraumatizing victims.”
The majority of women in comedy do not agree with facebook groups that are run by people with dubious motivations which silence any woman who dares to disagree and ask for proof as they throw around baseless accusations and try to ruin the lives of any male they can drum up false dirt on.
Thanks for sharing, Eve.
