Why Most Meppers Love March
I know Russ has a pronounced preference for watching millionaires play basketball, but it’s stories like this about amateur students that make March so exciting for us:
Perhaps more amazing than the Montana Grizzlies’ stunning comeback against Weber State to clinch a spot in the Big Dance is the story of their leading scorer who brought them there.
Throw in the fact that my hometown team, UNM, is in line for a 2- or 3-seed in the field of 65 and we have all the makings for one great March. Bring the madness!

I agree entirely (and having just seen three rounds of the Big East tourney in person, I know of what I speak!)–though the deafening silence of the arena takes away a bit from the overall impact, perhaps. 🙂 Good luck to UNM, since both my alma mater and my current institution will be comfortably at home for any postseason tournament.
