Champion of information freedom Wikileaks, has just released a remarkable video of US military forces slaughtering a group of unarmed, non-aggressive civilians and then firing on Good Samaritans who come along to tend to the wounded. This video may be removed via lawsuit or gov’t order soon, but it will be too late. The world is seeing the consequences of US Imperial Occupation today. If you’ve listened to your Mass Media Overlords recently, you may be aware that the US Census is now considered a hugely controversial program. National radio frass-heap Rush Limbaugh has even begun to encourage his devotees to abstain from answering any race-based counting questions to stymie government programs that rely on this type of data. Other such objections have been handily summed up by Satirist Sub-Commander, Stephen Colbert.
Upon hearing of this morning’s devastation in Chile, I began to wonder whether all of this recent continental plate shifting in the news is connected. Is this, perhaps, the beginning of the Tectonapocalypse?

Much as I hate privacy, I am starting to come around to the idea that Facebook and Twitter are the beginning of the end of the Golden Age of the Internet. Purely because I charge them each with half a count of the murder of blogging.
